Good course, helpful support

I purchased the Virginia 8-Hour Pre-License Course last month. The ordering process was straightforward on their site. I liked that it clearly laid out what was included. The course content itself was thorough and easy to follow, even on my tablet. I had a question about one of the DPOR regulations about halfway through, and their online chat support was quick to respond and very helpful, clarifying it for me. I finished the course and could print my certificate right away, which was convenient. Overall, a solid experience for getting my pre-license hours done.

Always come back for CE

This is my third time using Vacontractortraining for my continuing education, this time for the HVAC Master CE. They are consistently reliable. The course material is always updated and the online platform works well every time. I appreciate that the DPOR reporting is handled directly. It's just a dependable way to get my hours in without any stress, which is why I keep coming back.

Easy to renew my CE

Needed to get my Master Plumber CE done for renewal. This was way easier than trying to find a local class. Just signed up for the course, went through it on my laptop at night after work. No problems at all, it was pretty chill. I finished it up and they sent the certificate to my email right away. Pretty good experience, didn't have any hiccups.

Hey guys, thinking of signing up for the 8-hour pre-license course. Is it really approved by DPOR? Don't want to waste my time or money.

A Anna Foster 2 months ago
Yeah it is. I took my HVAC CE through them last year and DPOR accepted it no problem. It's legit.

Can confirm, they're on the approved list. Plus, they send your hours directly so you don't even have to worry about that part.

Anyone know if they offer a discount if I need to do the 8-hour course and then also grab some CE for plumbing? Trying to save a few bucks.

C Cody V. 2 months ago
I think they do bundle discounts for multiple courses. Might be worth checking their site or just asking support. I got a deal when I signed up for both master and journeyman electrical.

Yep, definitely. They usually have multi-course bundles. I'd add both to your cart and see if a discount automatically applies, or look for a specific 'bundle' section.

How long do you actually have to finish these courses once you buy them? My schedule is kinda crazy right now.

C Cody Z. 2 months ago
From what I remember, you get a good amount of time, like 6 months or something. It's not a rush. I started mine and then life happened, picked it back up months later.

I think it's usually 180 days, so half a year. Plenty of time to get it done at your own pace.

Are their courses mobile friendly? Like, can I do the training on my tablet or phone during breaks at work?

C Cleo Foster 2 months ago
Totally. I did my entire journeyman CE on my iPad. The platform worked fine.

Yeah, it's pretty decent on mobile. Not super clunky like some other sites I've used. I prefer my computer but it's definitely doable on a phone.

Thinking of switching from RocketCert to Vacontractor for my next CE. How do these guys compare? Is the content better or about the same?

C Carly H. 2 months ago
I've only used Vacontractor, but I found their material pretty straightforward and easy to follow. Can't speak for RocketCert directly but I had no complaints with VA.

I used RocketCert once and it was okay, but I prefer Vacontractor. Their quizzes felt more relevant to what I actually needed to know for renewal, not just random stuff. Plus the reporting to DPOR was quicker with Vacontractor in my experience.
